This coffee house and roasting company wanted a rebrand with a heavy focus on their oceanside location with a slight nod to the town’s history of being built on a railroad.
Imagery was addressed by a floating coffee mug on water, a spoon ‘oar’ and vintage railroad ‘inspired’ font. The logo was designed to be able to convert easily into an icon.
Rack cards and business cards were created using icon as a pattern themes. Labels were created for their coffee line that they could print on demand in house. Quantities had to be flexible for small wholesale orders. Each blend had its own representative colour and graphic ‘roast scale.’ The owner also wanted imagery of their own beans being roasted, so we had a photoshoot to capture their authentic product in action.
I worked directly with the client for budget friendly exterior signage for their coffee shop. I used window vinyl and circular aluminum composite (Dibond) outdoor signs. Signage was created for the local events they participated in, such as farmers markets and craft fairs, to direct traffic to their pop-up coffee station.
The owner wanted staff t-shirts that had the brand as well as a sassy tagline; “Serving it hot.” We used 2 colour screen printing on black shirts to not show ‘coffee stains’ staff commonly accumulate.
